If you run a business employing between 5 and 250 people, a new service is available to help you develop your leadership and management skills. The service covers all sectors and is funded by the Learning and Skills Council to give you:
- free analysis of your leadership and management skills, highlighting your strengths and areas for development
- a training grant of £500 to help you address those areas
- a further £500 grant for training for yourself and/or your senior team provided you match the funding pound for pound
Who’s eligible?
The grant can be taken by businesses and organisations with between 5 and 250 employees, a number that can include part-time and volunteer workers.
The first £500 of support is directed to an owner, manager or key director and matched funding is not required.
The remaining grant of up to £500 can be used for any of the senior management team, including the original recipient, and needs to be matched by the business.
How does it work?
Having confirmed your eligibility your individual needs analysis can be carried out online, by phone, or face-to-face. It will be conducted either by ourselves at Enterprise Coaches, or by a regional Leadership and Management Specialist Adviser, who we will contact on your behalf. Then based on your needs, we will suggest a skills development package designed to suit your learning style, time restraints, location, and business requirements.
The training we propose will be focused on improving your management and leadership skills, helping you to enhance your business-building with the aim of fostering great business growth.
